Drive setup
In the past I use to use a laptop with Arch. This laptop contained a small SSD and a big HDD. Thus, I tried to set it up optimally.
F2FS seemed like the best option for an old SSD, which does not have much writes. So I used that at the time.
On the HDD I just used ext4. My opt
partition is set to 13GB instead of 8GB. Previously it didn’t have enough space to install CUDΑ for nvidia.
SSD - F2FS | HDD - ext4 |
---|---|
/boot EFISYSTEM 260M | /var 8GB |
/ The other free space | /opt 8GB, in some cases 13GB |
/home The other free space |
